Corporate Financial Controller

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, driven and motivated Corporate Financial Controller to join our successful and growing company. The role will report directly to Head of Finance and will play a key part in managing all external and internal reports as well as ensuring that all necessary financial controls and procedures are in place.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop the internal and external financial reporting capabilities of the group, including consolidation of UK and overseas operations and preparation of high quality monthly management accounts
  • Prepare monthly analysis of key operational data and working with business partners to provide clear insight and financial leadership that contributes to the financial discipline of the business. This includes preparation of the CFO report for the executive and the board
  • Prepare best in class annual reporting and interim financial information for reporting to the public markets including accountability for the external audit relationship
  • Prepare technical memos and papers for the audit committee, using thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Managing the activities of the core finance team ensuring development at all levels which supports the financial control environment of the group and actively seeks to improve it.
  • Work closely with the wider finance and operations team to build and enhance financial and ERP systems, processes and reporting in a highly scalable and user focused manner
  • Proactively monitor and manage the cost base of the group with reference to budgets and analyst consensus

Core Skills Required:

  • Consolidation of overseas entities
  • Experience of financial controls
  • Budget preparation and management
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Evidence of developing high performing teams
  • Expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards required


  • ACA qualified accountant
  • At least 2 years’ post qualification experience in industry, particularly in a public company, would be a strong advantage

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment and on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines, be well organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
