Scientist - Cell Line Products

We have a great opportunity for scientist with cell culture knowledge and some demonstrable hands on experience to join our team to contribute to the validation of Cell Line Products.

Key responsibilities:

Molecular validation of Cell Line products. You will be responsible for assay design, DNA and RNA extraction, and genotyping ensuring on target gene editing events.

You will also culture and cryopreserve mammalian cells using aseptic technique. Testing, inventory, and supplying Cell Banks to internal and external groups.

Core Skills:

  • Strong molecular biology skills including gDNA and RNA isolation, PCR (gDNA, RT-PCR, ddPCR).
  • A good understanding of genetics.
  • Mammalian cell culture experience, with good aseptic technique.
  • Ability to work independently, contributing to experimental design and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Other responsibilities include authoring technical documents and SOPs.
  • Housekeeping duties in the laboratory including stock management is also a pivotal part of this role.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership team


You will  either degree educated or equivalent in cell or molecular biology with up to 2 years proven practical experience.

Possess strong practical laboratory experience of tissue culture, maintaining suspension and adherent cell lines, ideally in industrial setting.

 Experience with molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA/protein isolation and PCR would be beneficial.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment and on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines, be well organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
